Graydon Creed is the public face of the Friends of Humanity. Whether or not he is their true leader is unknown; the anonymity of the Friends combined with their fractured structure makes it hard to say that he is truly in control of all who would call themselves a member of the Friends.
Personality[]
Graydon is outgoing and engaging, even charming as the public face of the Friends of Humanity. He is outspoken in his belief that humans have a right to defend themselves against the mutant threat, an attitude which has strong support in various sectors of the country. New York City has particularly taken in the message, given that they have been the epicenter of so much mutant violence.
He tends to be businesslike, even brisk, and is reasonably intelligent. He is also very, very driven.

Known History[]
Adopted as an infant by Mr. and Mrs. Howell, well-to-do conservatives, Graydon was raised with a certain amount of privilege. 1975 saw reports from school of a darkening of his mood. On his graduation from high school, he entered The Citadel and spent six years in the Marines after graduation. He served with distinction, but resigned his commission rather than accept a promotion at the end of his six years.
Using contacts both military and familial, he gathered the resources to begin the Friends of Humanity in the wake of Moira MacTaggart's publications. The Friends spread across the south, attracting support from many conservatives, even some liberals who bought into the idea that mutants were a threat. He has worked tirelessly since then: for the human cause, he would say.
