Scott Summers is co-team leader of the X-Men, and one of the first students of Xavier's School. He has very little in the way of public identity, or public life.

Personality[]

Scott is an intensely private person, and privately intense. Driven, tactically minded, and quiet and blunt to the point of asocial, Scott is focused on his job to the point of obsession. Strictly moral, highly idealistic.

Known Associations[]

Known Skills[]

Scott is a skilled mechanic and pilot. He is also a little bit magic on the motorcycle.

As an X-Man, Scott emits powerful concussive blasts from his eyes. Due to brain damage incurred when he was young, he has no natural control over his powers. His sunglasses and his visor prevent them from passing beyond his eyes (closing his eyes also works, of course). Scott does have a different kind of control, however. He is extremely precise with his blasts and can "bounce" a blast into a tight area. Good mind for trigonometry.

Also as an X-Man, Scott is skilled at hand-to-hand combat and general athleticism. He is long practiced with the duties that come with command. Even the administrative ones.

Known History[]

Born in Anchorage, Alaska. Scott's parents were killed in a plane crash when he was eight. He and his younger brother Alex barely made it themselves, sharing a parachute in a last-ditch leap from the plane. Scott's head hit the ground hard and he suffered some minor brain damage.

Scott did everything a little late. He was adopted years after his brother, puberty hit at fourteen, and he didn't manifest until he was sixteen, finally overcome with the social stress that accompanies "junior proms" and "having a date." After leaving the ballroom in (minor) ruins and three days of eyes-shut silence, he was picked up by Xavier in 1989 and would become part of the original core of students.

Although leader of the X-Men and an instructor at Xavier's School, Scott has remained largely an unknown, despite some minor incidents. However, he was part of the team of mutants sent on the Pegasus II mission to divert an asteroid set to impact Earth.

Mentions & Sightings[]

By Any Other Name: Team lead for X-Men in cooperative mission venture.

Notes[]

Knows a section of X-Factor as X-alumn.
